Thank you for visiting! Paradise Valley Hunting Club is located in the Low Country of South Carolina where the season opens on August 15th with the bucks still in velvet and bachelor groups. If you do not know, the counties that are included in our hunting areas have the largest WHITETAIL DEER herd in the Eastern United States! The deer are not pressured by cold winters or over hunting. Most does have two fawns each year (some have three), and the deer have No Natural Enemies. There are plenty of crops to eat, including soybeans, corn, wheat, and peanuts. We keep the food plots planted year round and we corn year round except when prohibited during turkey season. So our deer have plenty to eat, a mild climate, and lots of timberland, oak forests, and planted pines for bedding. This plus the lowland swamps make it one of the Absolute Best Areas to hunt Whitetail Deer east of the Mississippi! That's why the Deer Season is Five Months Long and there is NO LIMIT on the amount of bucks you can shoot!!

At Paradise Valley each hunter is allowed two bucks per day and each hunter can shoot one small buck per season if they wish. Everything else must have a 12 inch Outside Spread or Larger! There are trophy areas where small bucks have not been taken for 10 years and here the deer must have at least a 15” spread, 17” in some areas.

Paradise Valley is a reasonably priced camp with second to none stands, properties, meals, people, and lodging!

Doe Season begins on September 15th in South Carolina and each hunter is allowed 1 doe per three day hunt.

We are also running a Trophy Deer Management Program in association with South Carolina Fish & Wildlife.

Nothing makes us (my son Tom and I) happier than helping someone get their FIRST DEER or, hopefully, that BIG RACK you have always wanted.

HUNTS:

WhiteTail Deer:
Deer season opens on Aug 15th and runs through Jan1st. The bucks are in velvet until around Labor Day. We will always sit you on a stand with corn, and most have feed plots (although some of our best stands are shooting lanes in the woods).

Turkey:
Turkey hunts are March 15th through May 1st. We have 8500+ acres of very populated land. Our food plot program is conducive to turkey habitat. We have chuffas along with wheat, oats, and other varieties of food that are planted to give the birds a large choice. Corn is also fed until several weeks prior to the season opening.

Our guides are very professional, but also very personable, and dedicated to getting you on trophy birds. We encourage you to help, or even do your own calling, but we will have to send a guide with you to navigate the various properties. We also will try to video your hunt if possible.

Unique Turkey Hunting Opportunity:
We also offer Florida Osceola Turkey hunts in Florida if you are interested.
Those hunts have to be booked at least a year in advance, and in conjunction
with hunts here at Paradise Valley Hunting Club.

Hogs:
We offer both deer/hog combo hunts during deer season and hog only hunts the
rest of the year. The best times to hunt are during the cooler weather and when
we can continue to feed corn to the stands. This goes through the 10th of
February, then after turkey season on May 2nd, when we start feeding corn to the deer stands again. These hunts are with any weapon you choose.

Youth Hunts:
We encourage the youth to come and hunt with their parents at any time (which
you can see on the rate page has a lower day rate). However, we always put on a youth hunt the Saturday after deer season closes, which is a special day the state sets aside for kids ages 10 to 17. The parents are allowed to come at almost no charge and there is only a minimal fee for the kids. We cook out, have a bon fire with marshmallows, fish, play ping pong, pool, and of course hunt, and have a great time. Please plan to come join us with your youngster this year.


ACCOMMODATIONS:
Paradise Valley is a large lodge with great accommodations. The lodge is handicapped accessible. The game room has pool, ping pong, internet, a big screen TV, a card table and darts. We serve a continental breakfast before the morning hunt, a full breakfast afterwards, have things to make a sandwich for lunch, and have a family style home cooked meal every night. You will not find a more comfortable and accommodating lodge.

MEAT PROCESSING:
We use a local processor who will skin, quarter, hang, and put your deer in your cooler for you when you are ready to leave for $18. They will also do a basic processing for $55. They do a wonderful job.

We only want you to have the best hunt you have ever experienced. We want your success to be 100%. We enjoy a great evening family like atmosphere of storytelling from the days hunt, watching hunting TV, and making lifelong friends. Responsible drinking is only allowed after hunting is over for the day.
