All of the deer hunts are done in November during the rut. We have
Trail Cameras set out early and a lot of the time you know the buck you are after has been where you are hunting. Sign up 2 years early for your

We are full time outfitters ... when you book a hunt with DON AYERS OUTFITTERS you get two (2) Don Ayers in the camps. My son and myself run the camps, and our business is a hands-on operation.

All Hunts are 'timed' for when game movement is at its peak, ensuring the best opportunity for success. Over

We guide 3 different types of 'hunts':
Trophy Whitetail Deer hunts in November, which is also during the 'rut'. Most mature Alberta bucks weigh in at close to 250-300 pounds on the hoof and will carry a rack in the 140 plus range, with 180 to 190 class Deer being taken each Fall. We also hold all the Whitetail allocations in one area giving you the best chance at a Trophy.
Baited Black Bear in the
Spring and Fall. We are in a two (2) bear per each licence area, that means that each hunter is eligible to bag (2) black bears. The average bear in Alberta is between 5- 5½ feet nose to tail. Our average is between 6-6 ½ feet nose to tail, and we have killed bear over 8 feet nose to tail (these monsters weigh between 450-600 lb.).
This is really trophy hunting! You can hunt wolf on all of our hunts and this is another great trophy.
We provide ATV
Moose hunts in September and October. The
Moose hunts are during the 'rut' and a second tag can be obtained for a combination of Mule deer, Black bear or Whitetail. Our
Moose Hunts are usually sold out for 2 years in advance.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
For
BEAR:
Our camp consists of several 12 x 14ft high wall tents all having both wooden floors and bunks. There are a maximum of four (4) hunters per tent. The cook tent is 12 x 20ft on a wooden floor. All the tents have wood burning heaters in them. These tents are very spacious and in bad weather, you are high and dry off the ground. There are electric lights in each tent and we have pressure hot water showers.
We try to have no more than 6-8 hunters in each camp, but to accommodate special requests, we are glad to add an extra hunter. We provide a very comfortable rustic wilderness camp.
The bait we use is the very best. We use beaver and pork parts for smell and draw, and honey and oats for feed. Trophy size bear love to keep coming back to this smorgasbord.
For
Whitetail Deer:
"We run small personable camps, often with only 2 hunters per week, but not over 4 hunters per week". The camps are motel or hotel only.
For
Moose:
The camp consists of several very spacious 12' x 14' High Wall Tents. All tents are equipped with wood burning heaters, electric lights, wooden floors and wooden bunks built in them. A maximum of four (4) hunters per tent. In bad weather you are high and dry off the ground.
The cook tent is 12' x 20' on a wooden floor, electric lights and a wood burning heater. We have a professional cook in each camp that bakes daily and prepares home style meals. (The only exception is the spike camp.)
