Shady Grove is a public facility designed for the hunting enthusiast in Virginia. Hunt on 500+ acres of prime hunting grounds especially planted for Doves. Our Annual Dove Hunt is on September 8th this year. Come on out and enjoy the day a fun shoot. Check out our web site to register.
After our Annual Dove Hunt Day, hunters can have their own hunts at $15 a day.

Flight conditioned game birds, Pheasant & Chukar, are released twice daily between September and the end of April. The planned plantings of grain provide excellent cover for the released and wild game. The preserve offers fields of grain sorghum, corn, sunflowers, cedar hedgerows, briar thickets and open woods hunting.

Waterfowl hunts are conducted on wild birds and are conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.

Flighted Mallards are released birds and can be hunted during the entire preserve season (September 16 until April 30 ) depending on the availability of mallards. We will be hunting in a Flooded Timber Environment

Old Fashion Mule Drawn Quail Hunts are now available: Bring 4 hunters and the property is all yours for the day!!!

Gear up for the fall season at our sporting clay course which consists of seventeen stations plus a warm-up station for a 100 shot course. We have one skeet field and the five stand consists of ten electric traps. All of these are challenging for seasoned veterans.

Our Dog Training Kennel is divided between flushing and pointing dogs with two trainers. Puppies to started dogs are available here as well.
